Organise evidence the way HAS scores it, by evaluation element, criterion, objective and chapter, against a target of 100%. Most of it is the patient record and what teams say and do, so the record has to be complete and the quality indicators have to agree with it.
How HAS turns evidence into a score
For each evaluation element, the evaluator answers Oui, Non, NA when it does not apply, or RI when the patient's answer is inappropriate. Each element scores the share of positive answers, a criterion is the average of its elements, an objective the average of its criteria, a chapter the average of its objectives, and the global score the average of the three chapters.1 HAS also checks that results agree with the quality and safety indicators, the IQSS.1

- Build the grids in Calista. Generate the grids for your applicable criteria, so every element is covered at least once.
- Keep the record complete. Two of the four methods read the patient record, so a gap there costs elements across many criteria.
- Track your IQSS. HAS compares results with the indicators, e-Satis included, and looks for improvement plans.
- Score yourself as HAS does. Element, criterion, objective, chapter, then the global score.
- Keep the improvement trail. Actions, owners and dates, because the Commission weighs the dynamic as well as the gap.

- Patient record evidence ______

The guide to the visit day and the patient traceur shows how this evidence is read in the services.
Questions
Do advanced criteria count in the score?
No. Results on the five advanced criteria do not enter the scoring.
What does RI mean on a grid?
Réponse inappropriée, used when the patient's answer to the evaluator cannot be used. Like NA, it does not affect the result.
Why do quality indicators matter for certification?
HAS uses the IQSS as a marker of improvement and checks that the visit results agree with them.
