Product, the AI scribe

The AI medical scribe for clinics

wai is an AI medical scribe that writes the clinical note, letters and referrals from the consultation, with guideline citations where a letter rests on guidance. The clinician reads, edits and signs, and nothing reaches a patient or another clinician before that signature.

What the scribe does

One consultation becomes the full set of documents, drafted while the clinician talks to the patient and held until the clinician signs.

  1. 01

In the room and on video

Records on a phone or a desktop, and joins Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams consultations to write the same note.

  2. 02

    The note

A clinical summary, action points and safety-netting advice in the clinician's own structure, written from the transcript.

  3. 03

    Letters and referrals

GP letters, referral letters, patient summaries, sick notes and fit-to-fly letters drafted from the same consultation.

  4. 04

    Cited to guidelines

A letter that rests on guidance cites it, such as NICE in the UK, so the clinician can read the source before signing.

  5. 05

    Two languages in one visit

Transcription uses the language set for each patient, and a mixed mode handles a consultation held in two languages.

  6. 06

    Sign-off

Signed by passkey or PIN, one document at a time or in a batch, with the change from the draft kept on the record.

  7. 07

    Codes from the signed note

ICD-10 and SNOMED codes proposed from the record, each one checked by the clinician or the billing team.

Questions

Does the clinician have to sign every note?

Yes. A note, letter or referral is a draft until the clinician signs it, and nothing reaches a patient or another clinician before then. Signing records the time, the account and the change from the draft.

How is the patient told the consultation is being transcribed?

The clinic tells the patient and records their consent, at booking or in the room, and the consent sits on the patient's record with the date. Our consent form templates cover the wording.

Which languages does the scribe work in?

Transcription uses the language set for each patient, and a mixed mode handles a consultation held in two languages.

Where are the records hosted?

wai hosts each clinic's records in its own country, under that country's rules. We set this up with you before go-live.
