HAS guides

Each guide answers one question a provider in France asks about HAS, from the official sources it cites. There are 7 guides across 7 topics, last checked on 16 October 2026.

The depth of a certification readiness review, written from the HAS référentiel, its methodological guide and the ARS's own pages. HAS published 2,144 decisions in the 5th cycle and gave the mention to 23.8% of establishments. These are the answers that put yours among them. Each guide ends with how wai does the work.

How the guides map to the HAS framework

The hub sets out the 5 headings HAS works to, and the guides take them one task at a time.

The 5 headings on the HAS hub

  1. Chapitre 1, Le patient, 4 objectives on the hub. The result for the patient. Rights respected, information given, the patient engaged in the care plan, and patients and their representatives involved in the life of the establishment.
  2. Chapitre 2, Les équipes de soins, 4 objectives on the hub. Teams that coordinate around the patient, control the risks of their practice, work safely in high risk sectors and question the relevance of what they do.
  3. Chapitre 3, L'établissement, 4 objectives on the hub. Governance that drives quality and safety, manages its people and skills, works with its territory and adopts digital tools, AI included, under control.
  4. ARS authorisation, 4 requirements on the hub. The ARS director general authorises the creation of any health establishment, each activité de soins and each heavy equipment, for seven years from the declaration that it has started.
  5. EIGS and inspection, 4 requirements on the hub. Every serious adverse event associated with care is declared to the ARS without delay, and its analysis within three months. The ARS inspects on a programme or on a signal, announced or unannounced.

Questions about the HAS guides

Which HAS guide should I read first?

Start with Getting HAS certification, the first guide on this page, about 9 minutes of reading, filed under Certification. The other 6 each stand on their own, so take them in the order your own preparation needs.

How do these guides relate to the HAS hub?

The HAS hub sets out the 5 headings HAS works to and how wai evidences each one. Each guide goes one level down, to a single task, with steps to follow, a template to copy, answers to common questions and the sources behind it.

How current are the HAS guides?

Every guide shows the date its facts were checked against the official sources it cites. All 7 were checked on 16 October 2026, the same date the hub shows beside its Updated line.

Are the HAS guides legal advice?

They are guidance, not legal advice, written from what HAS publishes, with a link to the source for each fact. Neither HAS nor any ARS endorses wai or any software, and the certification decision for your organisation is decided by the HAS Commission de certification des établissements de santé.

How do I request a demo for HAS?

Request a demo from this page and it reaches the wai team with HAS already named, so the call starts from HAS rather than a general tour. You can also write to team@wellnessa-i.com.
