Run DGPHE's approved self assessment every four months, keep patient, staff and complaint files complete, and close every finding against a dated plan. DGPHE's teams visit announced or unannounced, and a self assessment they have checked counts as an inspection record.
How DGPHE supervises
DGPHE's Supervision and Control Policy, issued in February 2025, names six kinds of visit, from the initial inspection and final assessment to periodic assessments, follow-up after violations, joint visits and complaint investigations. Visits may be announced or unannounced. Every private establishment assesses itself every four months on approved forms, open to the team, and a self assessment the team has verified on site counts as an inspection record.1
What a finding costs
Findings graded green get a set time to correct. Findings graded yellow or red go to the violations committee.1 DGPHE's manual asks for a written corrective plan within 15 days of a noncompliance letter.2 Under Article 52 of the 2019 law the committee may warn, fine an establishment OMR 500 to 5,000, close it for up to a year or cancel its licence.3
