The Comune di Firenze's statistics office counted 363,243 residents on 30 June 2026, of whom 58,989, or 16.2%, held a foreign citizenship.¹ Among residents aged 18 to 40 at the end of 2025, 23.6% were foreign citizens.¹

Tuscany's Regional Law 51 of 2009 puts licensing with the municipality. An AI system may not select or condition access to health services on discriminatory criteria, and the person concerned has the right to be informed that AI is used.⁴ Oversight of the health data itself rests with the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, Italy's data protection authority.⁶
