The only evidence that exists
UCLA randomised 238 physicians across 14 specialties, roughly 72,000 encounters, to DAX Copilot, to Nabla, or to usual care. Nabla cut note-writing time 9.5 percent, about 41 seconds. DAX showed no statistically significant change. Neither reduced after-hours record time. Both improved wellbeing.
Everything else in this market is a vendor measuring itself. In a survey of 121 AI scribe products, 42 percent would not disclose anything without a demo first.3Kaczmarek K, et al. What the prices actually mean
Five of the six do not publish. Freed does, and Heidi did until August 2026, when its pricing page stopped showing figures. A published price is now a minority of one, which should not be remarkable in 2026.
Check the tier before you compare anything. Freed puts letters and ICD-10 coding on $119, not $39. Heidi gates EHR push above its entry plan. The number you were quoted is frequently not the number that includes the thing you wanted.
