How we compiled this
Published figures are taken from each vendor's own pricing page as of July 2026. Where a vendor does not publish, we use the most widely cited third-party estimate, drawn from independent pricing guides and figures buyers report, and label it reported, because an estimate presented as fact would be exactly the problem we are trying to fix.
Prices move and tiers change. This table is a snapshot with a date on it, refreshed quarterly, and we correct it when a vendor tells us we are wrong. Confirm any figure with the vendor before you make a decision on it.
Why so many hide the price
An unpublished price is a sales tactic. It forces a discovery call, anchors the number in a conversation the vendor controls, and lets the same product cost different buyers different amounts. For enterprise health systems with procurement teams, that is normal and survivable.
For a private clinic it is friction with no upside. You cannot compare what you cannot see, and the weeks spent on calls are weeks the clinic pays for. Six of the eleven products on this table will not show you a number without a demo first, and in a survey of 121 AI scribe products, 42 percent required a demo before disclosing anything at all. The category does not want to be compared.
The column that matters most
Read the last column before the price column. Nearly every product here covers the note and stops. The phone, the booking, the letters, the coding and the cancellations are somebody else's problem, which in a private clinic means they are yours, after hours.
A cheap scribe that reaches a sixth of the job is not cheaper than a system that reaches all of it. It just moves the cost off the invoice and onto your evening. That is the comparison this index is really for.

Abridge, Suki, DeepScribe and Tortus do not publish, requiring a sales conversation to learn the price. Nabla publishes partly. An unpublished price forces a discovery call and lets the same product cost different buyers different amounts, which is friction a private clinic does not need.
Is a cheaper AI scribe better value?
Not necessarily, because most scribes on this list cover only the consultation note. A cheaper tool that reaches a sixth of the job is not cheaper than a system that reaches all of it, it just moves the cost from the invoice to your evening, where the letters, coding and callbacks still wait. Read the beyond-the-note column alongside the price before deciding what value means for your clinic.
How often is this price index updated?
Quarterly, and whenever a vendor tells us a figure is wrong. Every entry is a dated snapshot from the vendor's own pricing page where published, or the most widely cited third-party estimate where not, marked as reported. Confirm any number directly with the vendor before you act on it, because tiers and prices in this category change often.
