For a UK buyer there is a second gap behind the first. Even when a figure was shown it was in United States dollars, so there has never been a published pound price for Heidi, and there is no public number to budget a British clinic against today.
A price you can read is the difference between budgeting in an afternoon and waiting for a call back.

What the pricing page shows today
Four plan names and no prices. Read on heidihealth.com on 12 September 2026, the page lists Free, Clinician, Practice and Scribe, sets out what each tier includes, and replaces the figure on every paid tier with a fourteen day trial or an invitation to talk to the team.
The free plan is real and generous enough to evaluate properly. Unlimited transcription, standard templates and task management are included, with the Ask Heidi feature limited rather than removed. A clinician can test the product on their own consultations this afternoon without speaking to anybody.
What cannot be done this afternoon is budget. A practice manager comparing three products needs a number for each, and for the Clinician and Practice tiers that number arrives in a conversation rather than on a page.
The last figure on record
Heidi listed $150 a month until August 2026. Our own price index recorded the pricing page as still showing figures in July 2026 and as no longer showing them when rechecked on 30 August 2026, which is the narrowest window we can honestly put around the change.
We are not going to guess why the figures came down, and a vendor is entitled to price however it likes. What matters to a buyer is only the consequence, which is that the most widely repeated Heidi price on the internet is now a historical one.
It was also a dollar figure. There has never been a published pound price, so a UK clinic quoting $150 from an old blog post is quoting a stale number in the wrong currency.
What a UK clinic can budget against
Nothing public, which means the number has to be asked for. That is a normal enough way to buy software, and it is worth being deliberate about what you ask for so the answer is comparable with the products that do publish.
Request the per clinician monthly figure in pounds, whether it is billed annually or monthly, what the minimum seat count is, and what the price becomes in year two. Get it in writing. Every one of those is a figure a published page would have answered before you made contact.
Then hold it against the products that do publish. Cliniko shows six bands but only in dollars, set out in Cliniko pricing in the UK, and wai publishes its figure in pounds on its pricing page.
What Heidi is good at
Starting. The free plan, the fourteen day trial and a genuinely quick setup make Heidi one of the easiest ways for a single clinician to find out whether an ambient scribe helps them at all, and that question is worth answering before any purchase.
The note itself is well regarded and the template handling is strong. For a clinician whose only problem is that consultations are typed up in the evening, Heidi addresses exactly that problem and addresses it well.
It is also honest about what the free tier is. The limits are stated on the page rather than discovered after a fortnight of use.
What we are not claiming
An unpublished price is not a high price, and nothing here says Heidi is expensive. It may well quote below wai, and for a clinician who needs the note and nothing else it is a narrower and probably cheaper purchase, which is a reasonable thing to buy.
