Carebit pricing

Summary

Carebit publishes three tiers per clinician a month plus VAT, read on carebit.co on 22 September 2026. Starter is £79 and is capped at 18 bookings a month. Core is £119 paid yearly or £149 monthly with unlimited bookings. Pro is £215 paid yearly or £269 monthly. The yearly discount is 20 percent and the booking cap on Starter is the figure to read first.

Carebit is one of the few UK practice management products that publishes a full rate card in pounds, which puts it in a small group alongside Jump EHR and WriteUpp and ahead of Semble, Pabau and iaptus, none of which publish a figure at all.

Three tiers, all priced per clinician a month and all quoted plus VAT, read on carebit.co on 22 September 2026. Starter at £79, Core at £119 paid yearly or £149 monthly, and Pro at £215 paid yearly or £269 monthly. Paying yearly in advance is 20 percent below the monthly rate.

The number that decides the tier is not the price. It is the cap of 18 bookings a month on Starter, which a consultant seeing five patients a week passes inside a month.

Our own rate card is on one page, with the whole clinic included rather than the diary alone.

The booking cap decides the tier

Starter at £79 a clinician a month plus VAT looks like the entry point and behaves like a trial. Eighteen bookings a month is roughly four a week, which a part time consultant exceeds in the first month of anything resembling a full list.

So the working entry price for most practices is Core, at £119 a clinician a month paid yearly or £149 paid monthly. Read the tier you would actually live on rather than the headline, which is the same discipline any published rate card deserves.

The gap matters at scale. A four clinician practice on Core paid yearly is £476 a month plus VAT, against £316 on Starter, and Starter would cover 72 bookings between them across a whole month.

What the credits buy

Each tier includes an allowance of Cari credits, which is what Carebit calls its transcription and assistant features. Starter includes 20 a month, Core includes 200, and Pro includes them without a limit.

Twenty credits a month on Starter is a demonstration rather than a working allowance, and 200 on Core is a real one for a single clinician. The practical reading is that a clinic wanting the assistant features across every consultation is looking at Pro.

Ask what a credit is consumed by before budgeting on it. Credit systems differ on whether a long consultation costs more than a short one, and that changes the arithmetic for anyone running hour long appointments.

The annual discount, and what it commits you to

Paying yearly in advance is 20 percent below the monthly rate on Core and Pro, which is a genuine saving and a genuine commitment. On Core it is the difference between £119 and £149 a clinician a month.

For a practice confident in the choice that is straightforwardly good value. For one still deciding, the monthly rate is the price of keeping the option to leave, and £30 a clinician a month is a reasonable figure to pay for it during a first year.

Starter is quoted monthly only, which is consistent with it being an entry tier rather than a destination.

What Carebit is good at

Publishing the whole thing is the first answer and it is not a small one. A practice can budget, compare and shortlist on a Sunday without speaking to anybody, which is not true of the incumbent it competes with.

It is built for UK private practice specifically rather than adapted to it, and the billing and invoicing side reflects that. For a consultant or a small specialist group with straightforward needs and an appetite for a clear number, it is a serious option.

Our full comparison is in Carebit vs Wai, and the wider UK set is in Semble alternatives.

Where Wai is different

Carebit stores the diary, the record and the invoice, and does it at a price you can read. A person still answers the enquiry, takes the booking, chases the result and drafts the letter.

Wai is priced on that work rather than on the record. The enquiry is answered, the booking is taken, the note is composed from the consultation and the letter is drafted for approval, on one record, at a figure published on our pricing page.

If the monthly software bill is the only thing that decides it, Carebit costs less than Wai and is clear about its pricing. If the hours decide it, Wai Admin answers enquiries, books, reminds, checks eligibility, claims and invoices around the clock, and that is where a clinic's cost actually sits. Clinicians still decide what enters the record.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Carebit cost?

Carebit publishes three tiers per clinician a month plus VAT, read on carebit.co on 22 September 2026. Starter is £79, Core is £119 paid yearly or £149 monthly, and Pro is £215 paid yearly or £269 monthly. Paying yearly in advance is 20 percent below the monthly rate.

Does Carebit publish its prices in pounds?

Yes, all three tiers in pounds and quoted plus VAT. That puts it in a small UK group alongside Jump EHR and WriteUpp. Semble, Pabau and iaptus publish no figure at all, and Cliniko publishes only in United States dollars.

What is the catch with Carebit Starter?

The cap of 18 bookings a month. That is roughly four a week, which a consultant seeing five patients a week passes inside the first month. The working entry tier for most practices is Core at £119 a clinician a month paid yearly.

What are Cari credits?

Carebit's allowance for its transcription and assistant features. Starter includes 20 a month, Core includes 200, and Pro includes them without a limit. Twenty a month is a demonstration rather than a working allowance, so a clinic wanting them on every consultation is looking at Pro.

Is the annual discount worth taking?

It is 20 percent, which on Core is the difference between £119 and £149 a clinician a month. For a practice confident in the choice it is good value. For one still deciding, £30 a clinician a month is a reasonable price to pay for the option to leave during a first year.

How does Carebit compare with Wai on price?

Carebit costs less, and it does a different job. It stores the diary, the record and the invoice while a person answers the enquiry, chases the result and drafts the letter. Wai is priced on that surrounding work, at a figure published on our pricing page. A practice optimising the software bill should buy Carebit.

Does Carebit charge VAT on top?

Yes. All three published figures are quoted plus VAT, read on carebit.co on 22 September 2026, so budget the gross figure rather than the headline when comparing it with a vendor that quotes inclusive.
